Titles
LE: Refers to Law Enforcement (including state, federal, municipal counties and districts that enforce enacted Government legislation and binding regulations/codes).
MIL: Refers to Military (Australian Defence Force) which also includes all combined arms/services of any defence force, i.e. Army, Airforce, Navy, Marines, Special Forces and Govt employed/endorsed military agencies.
GOVT: includes all sovereign countries and trade partners of Australia and legally endorsed/empowered Government agencies, (such as Corrective Services, Customs, Quarantine, Judicial Court employees) and legally endorsed and appointed subcontractors/companies of these agencies. At the discretion of K9HC this may include Govt or private sponsored bodies that may or may not operate at a profit, such as and not limited to; assistance, guide & hearing dogs and special needs, veterinary or 'niche' capability K9 agencies at our discretion.
K9HC: Refers to K9 hard Case gear & services
VTG: Refers to Veterinary Tactical Group, USA
PROXY AGENT: Refers to a person, you entrust to act on your behalf, with your permission, for example: allowing your supervisor to complete and/or pay for your registration fee) or an authorised delegate in the same capacity, i.e. resource manager/payment officer.
Fill: Refers to selling of unused course positions, not undertaken (used) by an Agency booking (Host agency).
Agency: Refers to a Government employed/endorsed law enforcement body/agency or department of Australia or its trade partner countries.
This includes all and any K9 Special Forces units, Police, Tactical, Corrective Service, Riot Squad and Veterinary services
Registration Fee Includes
* Participation in the USA Certified 2 day Tactical Canine Casualty Care Course (K9TC3)
* Lesson handouts (as required) as part of classroom theory
* K9 Training Models for use (from the USA) and Cadavers (only if available through aligned university programs) board of ethics approved.
* Dogs are not required on this course (unless requested by K9HC) for heat stress demonstration and are provided by customer.
Please note: travel and accommodation for students is not included. (agencies encouraged to liaise with fellow interstate dog agencies).
Dress Code
Appropriate work attire including (closed toe) footwear is mandatory.
Personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory and will be detailed.
Refund Policy
* Refunding of course bookings is at discretion of the event promoters.
* Where refunds are offered the refunded amount will reflect any losses or expenses incurred as a result of cancellation.
* Administration fees per person will be deducted from any refunds issued, and all refunds must be applied for in writing.
* Failure to attend any or all of the course will not be considered as a valid reason for refund by K9HC.
* K9HC reserve the right to cancel, alter the content and/or presenter on any program if necessary.
* K9HC reserve the right to refund fees in the event of an 'influx' of bookings to conduct 'priority vetting' (see below note on 'priority vetting').
* Paid registration fees will be partially refunded for cancelled events by the organisers.
Course Venue
* Greater Sydney area Certified Veterinary Training Facility (Government Approved) and/or training area in surrounding areas (location given to students once enrolled).
* On site: Male/Female Toilets, cafeteria, shaded rest area for students and Government approved education facility.
* Limited car park space and shaded area/trees for vehicles may be available.
* Local area Hospital in close proximity for emergencies (10 min drive).
* Appropriate vet care & first aid facilities will be identified on commencement of course.
* Appropriate learning area/classroom will be provided with data projector ability.
Agency Bookings
'Agency bookings' refer to an event organised for one specific agency at their request, to be hosted by them at their location and venue/s.
An 'Agency booking' includes the following agreed conditions by the host agency and event organisers K9HC.
* Transfers to and from airport, accommodation, meals and training venue/s remains the responsibility of the host agency unless by prior arrangement, otherwise an additional invoice will be issued for payment.
* Such bookings may incur a travel expense where locations are considered by organisers to be 'remote', such as regional areas, overseas
locations, etc and this will be assessed on a case by case basis.
* Fees for an agency booking includes a Min of 6 (and max of 15 participants) places on the course, this includes 2 free positions (agency only bookings).
All participants must be from the same booking agency (unless by prior written agreement with organisers) and verification of this will be required prior to the course.
* Should credit card payment be necessary K9HC reserve the right to charge an administration fee in addition to the course cost for each payment that is made.
* Host agency is required to provide appropriate practical training areas and learning area/classroom with provision for use of a data projector and whiteboard.
* Payment of a deposit of 50% is required within 10 days of an agency booking a course.
* The balance of the total remaining amount is due within 30 days, post deposit being paid.
* An 'Early bird' discount of (TBC) is available (strictly upon request) if the full amount is paid within 10 days of confirming the booking via email agreement. Regardless of booking. No request, no discount. (available during XXX/Month 2014 only) and subject to change without notice.
* Agency financial assistance programs, available upon request through K9HC Armour Fund (see page link).
* Refunding of deposits is at the discretion of K9HC, and where refunds are offered the refunded amount will reflect any losses or expenses incurred as a result of cancellation.
* Accept & organise 2 x Instructor and 1 x (safety/Instructor assistant) accommodation and airport transfers.
* Accept and organise emergency casualty evacuation plan.
* K9HC reserve the right to (fill) sell, remaining course positions.
* Provide access to refreshments, morning tea and lunch facilities.
* Booking agency and attending students agree not to hold K9HC and VTG and their employees liable for accidental course related injuries. A waiver may be required to be signed by all hosts and participants prior to commencement.
It is assumed that the approving host agency endorses and covers such liability for their unit members and visiting lecturers.
Accommodation & Travel
* Travel and/or accommodation fees are not included in the course fees unless revised and issued, due to the host unit failing to organise accommodation or access to the host unit location (if on a military base) and/or access has been denied at short notice (2 weeks prior to arrival).
* We do not refund airfares or hotel expenses if the event is cancelled.
Privacy Policy & Updating Your Details
* All Business or Employment details will not be given to anyone for any reason, unless permission is given by those people in advance.
Media terms
* For the purpose of teaching, reviewing techniques, de-briefing and safety; video footage and/or still photo's may be taken.
* By not stating to us at the time of filming/photography, of your objections/restrictions, then the footage will be vetted, so as not to disclose individuals and agencies.
* Footage will be vetted as much as possible to protect identities and only used to promote K9 hard Case gear & services seminars/courses/events and VTG promotion.
Priority Vetting
K9HC reserve the right to 'refund' payments based on a heavy influx of registrations that may disadvantage other units with a higher tactical need (i.e. S.E.R.T., S.T.A.R., S.O.G., T.O.U., S.R.G., T.R.G.) and other Tactical K9 units, which hold a higher national rating of priority and training requirement. The refunded students will be priority booked on a subsequent course for 2017 or 'extended' course dates if determined by K9HC/VTG.

* By registering, paying and attending this course, you agree that you are a qualified LE/GOVT/MIL employee and/or k9 handler and a fit person of mind and body to undertake the rigors of this course.
* By being a qualified LE/GOVT/MIL employee, with your supervisors permission to attend this training, that you will seek any injury claims through Government providers, i.e. COMCARE or approved State Govt equivalent agencies and not K9HC, VTG or the host unit location provider.
